your grandmother is getting foreclosed on and has thirty days to move and store anything that she wants to claim as her own, including herself

you are alone every day, including lunch, because your three very close friends don’t go to school with you, your sister and her senior friends are no longer at school, and the people who used to be your friends at school are terrible people

the terrible people say hello to you and smile as though nothing is wrong, that they haven’t done anything wrong to me, that they just need to be nice again and everything will be the same

you don’t want to go away to college, no matter how nice it will be to get away from my crazy family that makes me sad and crazy and distressed and exhausted, because you’ll be away from the person who is your heart and happiness
